Breast Augmentation Fees
Total Cost =
Physician’s fee +Implant cost + hospital fee

The Total Estimated Cost for a Bilateral Breast Augmentation at GBMC is $5,778.00 plus pre-op testing and prescriptions. This estimation is for a breast augmentation with no lifting (mastopexy). It includes the following charges and payment requirements:

Physicians’ fee and Implant Cost

Dr. Rodriguez’s surgical fee is $2800. This fee includes all pre-operative and post-operative office visits related to this surgery. The standard saline implant cost is $1600. Full payment of this total amount of $4400 (= $2800 + $1600) is payable to Dr. Ricardo Rodriguez and due seven days prior to surgery. We accept cash, certified checks, cashier’s checks, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express or a combination of the prior.

hospital fee = (OR facility fee + anesthesiologist fee)

The estimated facility and anesthesia fees are based on how many hours of surgical time is required. In general, the procedure takes two hours, equating to approximately $1378.00 in charges. This amount covers the OR facility fee and the anesthesiologist fee. Greater Baltimore Medical Center charges by 30 minute time increments. Their “clock” starts when you enter the operating room and stops at the time you leave the operating room. If your actual time in the operating room is less then what we estimated you may receive a refund. If your actual time in the operating room is more than what we estimated you may be billed accordingly.

Additionally, there will likely be small costs associated with your pre-op testing and post operative prescriptions.

FINANCE COMPANIES

Many patients finance part or all of their surgery. This allows for affordable monthly payments. The most common and easiest form of financing is done with a MasterCard or Visa credit card. As you know, many companies are offering zero percent financing for periods as long as one year. In general, many credit cards offer better interest rates than most financing companies do and we encourage patients to explore this avenue BEFORE considering a finance company.

However, sometimes patients do need an alternative financing solution to credit cards. Below is a list of financing companies, which offer monthly payment plans for elective surgical procedures. Please note that some companies offer financing for only the physician fee component of the procedure. APFC and Capital One allow the patient to finance the physician’s fee, implant and hospital fees, or the total cost of all.

Some companies will allow you to apply by telephone; others may require an application to be filled out. Most applications are simple and require only 5 minutes of your time. Each company has their own criteria for determining if they will extend a loan to you.
